Small Florida town bans dancing
Welcome to Weston, Florida where a recent city ordinance has banned nightclubs and dancehalls of any kind.
The ban is intended to prevent the hazards associated with the large crowds at such establishments, as well as the loud noises and street crime associated with dance music and dubstep.
According to the mayor Eric Welsh, “There aren’t those uses in Weston, there won’t be those uses in Weston, and we were never planning to allow those uses in Weston.” Here is a recent photo of the mayor’s daughter and her friends.

Skating rinks were also banned in the ordinance because they can be used to conceal dance parties. Those who want to go clubbing can still do so in the neighboring towns in southwest Florida.
